Norman Owen is hopelessly out of his depth and the Liberal Democrats know it. Why else has there been no high profile visits from the Lib Dems to Salford? Because they know Norman isn't going to get anywhere. Nick Clegg has been to Rochdale on numerous occasions recently but he won't come to Salford. Because he knows Norman is an embarrassment.

Anon, you are so right, just watched Norman last night at a Salford Question Time event, he is such a lightweight & as shambolic and incoherent as ever...could anyone with an ounce of sense imagine him representing Salford at govt level? We"d be laughed out of the commons.
